A House Facelift

Well we have been in our house for 6 years now - wow does time fly. Although we painted EVERYTHING inside, the outside remained untouched. It was a taupe colour with a pink cast  and I really didn't love it. And the brown door was very red.

So in preparation for a garden photo shoot at the house, I hired two university students who have started their own painting business called Hometown Painting (  hometownpainting.ca  -
the girls did a great job and were very neat. I would definitely recommend them ) .

I selected ( with the help of my friend ) a grey green palette to compliment the stone as well as the trees in our yard. The stucco was painted Rockport Gray - HC - 105 and the wood trim and front door surround was painted Copley Gray - HC - 104. Both are Benjamin Moore paint colours. The white vinyl trim around the windows was also painted.  The front door was painted a darker brown - Mink - 2112- 10 - also Benjamin Moore.

The house looks much more cohesive and rich and I love the new look. I just wish it hadn't taken me so long.
