Summer Weddings

Here I am working on the 40 table arrangements
I have been to 2 lovely weddings in the last 2 weeks. This past weekend, Betty's daughter ( Betty is my friend from work ) got married in their beautiful backyard. I offered to help with the set up and do the floral arrangements.

Kristy, the gorgeous bride, knew exactly what she wanted and had everything well planned and organized. Her vision was of a sophisticated yet relaxed wedding with a vintage twist. Her colour palette was soft peach, pale pink, butter yellow and sage green.

A large tent was set up and Kristy decorated the inside canopy with wide ribbons in her colours.

More than 40 paper doilie lanterns were made and hung from the ceiling of the tent.

The table arrangements were done in mason jars tied with jute string.

Roses, baby's breath, daisies, carnations, dahlia's, snap dragons, alstroemeria, dusty miller and eucalyptus were selected by the bride.

The guests were seated at  long tables covered in a pretty peach tablecloth and lace runner.

The bride made a booklet for each guest containing the wedding details and the menu. Origami placecards, also hand made, were a thoughtful touch. Table numbers were pearl studded, jute wrapped cards. And when the married couple walked back down the aisle, guest waved ribbon wands in the air.

There were so many lovely details that made this day special. Here are some more photos.

It was a perfect day for Kristy and George as the rain stayed away.
