Chocolate Chip Oatmeal Cookies
So here it is... a family favourite recipe. ( Some people have questioned why I would share this recipe but I don't get why people won't share recipes).
1 cup butter
1 cup white sugar
1 cup brown sugar
Cream together in a bowl. I use my KitchenAid stand mixer with the flat beater.
Add 2 eggs and 1 t vanilla - blend.
1 1/2 cups white flour
1 t baking soda
1 t salt
Add and mix together.
Incorporate 3 cups of rolled oats and then add 1 package of semi-sweet chocolate chips.
Bake at 325 degrees for 10 - 12 minutes on medium- upper rack.
The secret to these cookies is under cooking them slightly so they are soft and chewy.
