I love the change of seasons and celebrating Thanksgiving is a favorite fall occasion. Our family gathers together and we all sit around one large table to enjoy our feast. It doesn't get any better than that!

Setting the table is one of the things I enjoy the most. I usually forego store bought flowers and search the garden for beautiful fall foliage. Last year I used hydrangeas, grapevine, maple leaves collected by the younger children, as well as pears, apples and pumpkins. Amber frosted votives cast a lovely glow on the table. With the dark brown walls and persimmon and brown silk drapery panels, the room is the perfect backdrop for this wonderful family celebration.

This year we will be gathering at my sister's cottage - all 21 of us. It will be a great dinner and we will all be thankful for an amazing family.

Happy Thanksgiving!
