On a trip to the local grocery store ( Longos), I spied some beautiful trailing plants in the floral department. I discovered they were Jasmine plants. I took one home and planted it in a oriental green fluted pot. Perfection!
It has tons of small white blooms just waiting to burst into flowers.
A few of the flowers have opened up and are delivering the most amazing sweet scent. Jasmine is know for it's lovely fragrance.
I placed my plant in my bedroom but decided I want to enjoy its beauty and fragrance all day so now it sits on my desk beside a sunny window. Jasmine is a plant that likes lots of sun and needs moist, but not soggy soil.
I am not sure how long it will continue to bloom but for now, as I watch the snow fall, it adds a touch of colour and the scent reminds me that spring will ( eventually ) arrive.
